This Saturday (31st August) Leicester Pride march will be led by Europe’s largest trans flag, measuring 82ft long. The flag – which has been kindly lent to the pride event by Councillor Tania Stevenson and the team at Nottingham Pride – will be supported by local trans ambassador and founder of Cool2BTrans, Katie Neeves, alongside members of the local community.

The pride parade will set off from Leicester’s Humberstone Gate at 12pm on Saturday and march through the city leading to the event’s festival site on Abbey Park, with more than 2,000 people expected to take part in the parade.
Martyn Parker, Chairman of Leicester Pride, said: “What better way to start this year’s celebration of love, acceptance and the beauty of diversity than by leading our parade with Europe’s largest trans flag. Leicester Pride has always been about bringing people together and we’re thrilled to present an event that not only entertains but also empowers and inspires. We invite everyone to join us in making this year’s Pride the most memorable yet.”
