Stafford Pride is returning for its second year in 2025, with Drag Race star Baga Chipz set to perform as their headline act. Baga has competed on the first series of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK on BBC Three, placing in third, and later returned to compete in the first series of RuPaul's Drag Race: UK vs. the World. The drag queen from West Bromwich will be touring the UK later in the year from August 29th to October 31st with ‘Chip Off the Old Block’, and will be warming up for the tour in Stafford.

Baga Chipz is a drag queen wearing exaggerated make up, a blonde bob wig, and a pink dress with feathers framing the top. She has visible tattoos on her arms and holds a chip in one hand like a cigarette, between her fingers. The background of the image is a light blue.

The news comes after Stafford Pride hit a temporary roadblock with the licensing. Stafford Pride revealed that the Environmental Health department at Stafford Borough Council had objected to the license needed to host the event.

On social media, chairman Jack explained: "Each year, a license to put the festival on costs nearly £1K. By applying for a permanent license it will save that money we can put back into the event."

The organisers called for Environmental Health to engage in conversation with them to resolve the issue, and later they revealed that they had fought and won, allowing 2025’s pride to get back on track.

Stafford Pride, featuring Baga Chipz, will be held at Victoria Park on Saturday 9th August, commencing from 12pm with the parade. Tickets are on sale now from £5 (£3 for children).
