RuPaul’s Drag Race UK star, Vicki Vivacious, will be headlining Coalville’s first pride event. The town in North West Leicester will be holding its first pride in 2025, an event that will see the town centre host a variety of free entertainment and community activities, bringing together the local LGBTQ+ community and allies in celebration.

Vicki Vivacious is a drag queen from Cornwall who has over 15 years’ experience of performing in drag. She competed on the fifth series of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, auditioned on Britain’s Got Talent in 2014, has sung on the West End, and has performed for the armed services, earning her the nickname "The Forces Sweetheart". Vicki will headline Coalville pride on Saturday 7th June at Coalville Town FC Stadium from 12pm-6pm; joining a line-up of talent, featuring drag performers, choirs, dance troupes, and singers from across the local area and beyond.
"We are beyond excited to bring Coalville's first-ever Pride to life," said Keiran Lee-Ridgway, event organiser at Pride in Coalville. This is a huge moment for our town, and we can't wait to celebrate with everyone in a truly unforgettable way."
The event’s organisers are also seeking local businesses and individuals to support the event including via sponsorship, stallholders, and volunteers. "Whether you want to showcase your business, lend a helping hand, or support Pride in a bigger way, we'd love to hear from you," Mr Lee-Ridgway added.
