During LGBTQ+ History Month, which takes places in February in the UK, Warwickshire Pride are hosting queer history tours of Leamington Spa. The walking tours will allow participants to step into the hidden histories and stories of Leamington's queer past, uncovering ‘LGBTQ+ people, places, and events that shaped the town’s past and continue to influence its present.’

By joining the walking tour, those curious about the local LGBTQ+ history will discover the rich queer heritage of the area. So often left out of the history books, are the stories of discreet meeting spots for love and resilience, trailblazing activism for the LGBTQ+ community, and other insights that will be shared through this news lens.
Meeting outside the Pump Rooms, where Warwickshire Pride festival is now held each Summer in the venue’s gardens, the tours will run on Saturday 13th March at 11am and again at 2pm. Tickets cost £5 (plus a booking fee), and organisers expect the tours to be popular so if you wish to attend booking early is advised.
