London’s production of Cabaret has announced new casting, with Coventry-born actor and theatre producer, Rob Madge to take on the role of Emcee and actor and model, Hannah Dodd to take on the role of Sally Bowles.

Rob Madge (They/Them) is a theatre maker, writer and actor who began their career age nine, after spending much of their childhood creating shows for their family, which family members were also forced to join in. Rob’s one-person show, My Son’s a Queer (But What Can You Do?) features home videos from this period of their life, alongside original musical numbers. The show had sell-out runs at the Turbine Theatre, Edinburgh Festival, across the UK, Garrick Theatre and the Ambassadors in the West End, and recently premiered in New York City. For their work on My Son’s a Queer, Rob won WhatsOnStage, Attitude and Stage Debut Awards and received an Olivier nomination for Best Entertainment or Comedy Play.

Their other theatre work includes: Adapter of Charley’s Aunt (Watermill Theatre), Spirit of Sherwood in Robin Hood (London Palladium), Alex in Buyer and Cellar (King’s Head and Theatre Royal, Plymouth), Tink in Peter Pan (London Palladium), Pat the Cow in Jack and the Beanstalk (The London Palladium), Millennials (The Other Palace), world premiere of Bedknobs and Broomsticks (UK tour), Les Misérables (UK tour), Matilda the Musical (RSC), Gavroche in Les Misérables (25th Anniversary tour and Concert), Artful Dodger in Oliver! (Theatre Royal Drury Lane), Macbeth (Gielgud), Michael Banks in Mary Poppins (Prince Edward).

Rob will begin playing the Emcee in Cabaret from 29th May for a 16-week run, taking over from Billy Porter.

Hannah Dodd (She/Her) is perhaps best known for her role in Netflix’s Bridgerton, playing the role of Francesca Bridgerton. Hannah has also starred as a series lead in Find Me In Paris for Hulu, Harlots, Anatomy of a Scandal, Enola Holmes 2, and Flowers In The Attic: The Origins for Lifetime.

She will join Rob Madge in casting from 29th May, taking over the role of Sally Bowles from Marisha Wallace.

The musical Cabaret plays at the Kit Kat Club at London’s Playhouse Theatre, with booking available for Rob Madge and Hannah Dodd’s dates now. Note: check individual actors dates as scheduled appearances vary.
