Project 93 is a Staffordshire-based charity supporting LGBTQ+ people of all ages in Staffordshire and the surrounding areas. The charity was first founded on World AIDS Day in 1993 inspired by the theme ‘A Time to Act.’ Formerly, they ran as Staffordshire Buddies, and were (and still are) dedicated to supporting the LGBTQ+ community and those affected by HIV in the area.

For over 30 years, they have provided free counselling, support groups, social groups and advocacy for the community; with 180 hours of support, 40 hours of counselling, 20 hours of training and much more each month.

Deputy Chair of Trustees, Dave Ellis explains: “We measure our success by the positive impact on the lives we serve. We empower individuals to navigate challenges and improve mental well-being, while fostering inclusive environments in schools and organizations.”

“At Project 93, we are committed to creating a world where LGBT individuals and those affected by HIV feel supported, empowered, and free from stigma,” explains the charity’s Vision, Mission & Values, “We work tirelessly to challenge discrimination, offer vital support, and create lasting change.”
