Queer Britain – the UK’s first national LGBTQ+ museum – has announced a new cohort of ambassadors and among them is Birmingham Pride’s Director of Innovation, Eva Echo (she/they). An activist, TEDx Speaker, Changemaker, Events Manager for Trans in the City and a delegate for UN Women, Eva Echo is a powerful voice for the community – in particular for trans rights and mental health – and she also uses her platform to raise the voices of those who are less heard in conversations.

Photo of Eva smiling at the camera. She wears a red dress and hoop earrings. Tattoos are visible up her neck.

Echo is one of several community leaders chosen for their love of queer history and their dedication “to helping us amplify LGBTQ+ voices and stories and engage the community,” explains Queer Britain.

Also joining Eva Echo as new ambassadors for Queer Britain are: British model and award-winning Asexual activist, Yasmin Benoit (she/her); Queer Muslim Activist, Shaz (she/her); Queer therapist, Clinical Sexologist and Author, Alexis Caught (he/him); singer and songwriter, Girli (she/her); Ocean (he/they), a trans artist who celebrates queerness; Muslim Drag Queen and trans popstar, Asifa Lahore (she/her); and trans street artist, public speaker and activist, Samo (he/him).
